Deathcore is awesome, ok, I’ve said it a couple of times, it is the one to rule them all, you’ve got complexity and aggression, skill and agility. The Cartesian is The World To Come‘s 3rd full length release and you can understand what experience means, all here is absolutely awesome in composition and vibe, balanced djenty deathcore that will literally blow you away. Sick raw breakdowns and endless chug barrage. Put your seat belts on, guys, play that shit, mosh on.

The Cartesian is one of the strong albums lately

Seriously, this is a band I want to see live, the aggressive chugs can make you throw people around you. The songwriting is very organic and The World To Come showcase skills which can create a sense of envy in the biggest bands out there. I can say that the ideas they’ve put in the riffs are very groovy and interesting, the constant flow is there and it doesn’t let you rest. Let’s be clear, such an intense atmosphere is not for the lighthearted, some serious growls and deathcorish squeals, slow-burning breakdowns, but what I find cool are the ambient layers and the melodic guitars in the back. Speaking of melody, it is not prevailing, but definitely put on the right places.

You can get some references to Meshuggah’s Catch Thirtythree here and there (spoken vocals), good feature to the overall feel. The Cartesian is a very good and creative piece of art, it is different in feel, the vibe is unique, that album may serve as a breakthrough for them, and not to mention, the sound is amazing…

Sound and Production:

Good mix and mastering, the chugs have been captured and the punch is there. What makes impression is how all the instruments are well balanced, the bass guitar is well expressed and you can hear the upper and middle lows, nice nice nice. The drum work is amazing and the work that has been put in that is astonishing, stunning footwork, actually that full-bodied sound that they have achieved is what allows us to appreciate The Cartesian. A lot of industrial elements and crisp guitar fill the gaps in a way that doesn’t let you let go of the vibe, superb dynamics work. The vocals have been recorded quite well, the aggression is sparkling from the speaker, the emotion has been captured, well done.

As a whole, that album is amazing, The World To Come have really created an awesome record, be sure to play a couple of times, cheers.
